Ohara Hale - New York

about

"This is a song about my love affair with New York and Montreal and coming to the understanding that you don’t have to have an intense love affair ( that could potentially explode and fizzle and break forever) to call any place your home. When I came to MTL I was madly and blindly in love with it and it came to a point where I almost lost the love for it after a painful experience, but I kept steadfast to the original flame and my original dreams and, with many things that I can get impulsive and obsessed with, I didn’t turn my back on it and run away. However, I came to realize that while I think I’ll always love Montreal and want to call it my home, there are many other cities I want to live and love in, like New York for example. Like it says in the song “You don’t have to be my lover to be mine”...I don’t need much when I love, just the freedom to love."
