"Depuis longtemps je voyais cette grosse tache verte sur la carte de Montréal, le Parc Angrignon. Un matin, tentant de me perdre dans Montréal, j'y suis allé et il y avait des merles partout. Depuis longtemps je voulais mettre un merle dans une de mes chansons, suivant la traduction country qui semble fascinée par les merles... Et puis je l'ai mis mon merle, dans La mort des amoureux que voici."
